Question by the_hobnobber: Help with really annoying computer virus?
I have no idea how i got it, i was on facebook and then my computer just went crazy saying a new virus has been found… i didnt even have anti-virus software and now i have this programme called anitivirus antispyware 2011 telling me i have 800+ security problems and i need to activate this key to protect my computer… i did NOT install this software, i have a feeling its the virus itself but im not sure… i just bought and installed and did a full scan with kaspersky and it found nothing after scanning everything for 2 hours, although every now and then it says ‘suspicious behaviour’ detected with this antivirus antispyware thing but it does nothing about it.
also ive had random messaes saying personal info is being passed on to a remote IP address and stuff like my computer is being used for spamming and i can get into trouble with the police.. wtf!?
My screen occasionally ‘blinks’, like goes black for a couple of seconds then is normaly, the sound goes crackly sometimes and it sometimes has a blue screen (not the normal blue screen of death) saying stuff about personal data being moved…. Im going crazy here, what can i do to sort this out!?

You`re correct it is the virus.
Go to the link and scroll down to “Automated Removal Instructions for Antivirus AntiSpyware 2011 using Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware”
Follow the instructions carefully.
EDIT.
Please don`t follow the advice about system restore that someone has given.
It rarely works, especially for this type of malware, it can reinfect your computer as the virus can hide in restore point.
