Anti-spyware: SpyBot Search and Destroy
Anti-malware: Adaware
I’ve found some testing that indicates that Antivir from Avira (www.avira.com) has much better virus detection rates than avg. Some folk dispute the tests, but I read up on it, and it looks kosher to me.
